October 2, 2011

Well well well we had a meetingon monday and we just talked about how influence of others had changed my mission. and it just made me realize what other missionaries had done for me on my mission and how they showed me how to work and to get things done. this week was a slower one for us we didnt get to teach much but i had an expirience that made up for it. me and elder comfort were a bit down and so we took our dinner break and just started driving and i brought up the fact that i had been here for a year and still hadnt seen a kangaroo. he said i know where some bush is we kept driving we got to the bush and it was the end of the road. the sun was setting we got out of the car and our eyes were peeled and their was nothing... so we just sat on the boot of the car and talked about how we could help our investigators get more invovled with the gospel...still no kangaroos. dinner break was coming to an end and so was the sunlight. so we got in the car and right as we started the engine elder comfort says look! and there it was the kanga mate. it stood up and looked at us and then hopped away boing boing boing. i am sure that it was a tender mercy from heaven. I have come to have a greater appreciation for nature on my mission..for life in general and how good we have it. sure we have rough times but we have gods creations all around us to create moment that wont vanish like cash but moments that will last forever like the smile of a single mother coming out of the waters of baptism with the hope of living with her husband who had passed on to the other side. That is what makes the mission small moments that make us step back and breathe the fresh air. peace. we have been seeing miracles and we will continue seeing miracles because of the faith we are developing in the savior jesus christ.
